Activity booking software.Karting is the deep one. The rest sit beside it.

A twelve minute heat, a laser game and an escape room reset behave nothing alike, so each carries its own interval, its own capacity and its own rules. What makes them work together is that they sell against the same afternoon, on one board.

Each activity is also spoken about in its own words. Staff building a karting experience see races, drivers and the track. Laser tag reads as games, players and the arena, bowling as bowlers and lanes, mini golf as rounds and the course. Anything we have not named, you name, and the screens follow.

Karting

Heats, grids, timing and the fleet

A format is built once out of stages, so qualifying, heats and a final each carry their own run time, lead in and scoring. Transponders map to karts, the decoder feeds the wall, and the result prints at the counter while the drivers are still in their helmets. Race control checks every seat before the session arms: a missing waiver, an unpaid driver or a kart in the workshop is held by name. This is the part of the product with the most in it.

  • Grid clearance before arming
  • Live timing off the loop
  • Points and series standings
  • Kart fleet, hours and maintenance
  • Flags driving the tower and kart speed
  • Results on the screens and on a phone

Laser tag

Arenas, briefings and turnaround

Each arena carries a player capacity, a game length, the briefing time before the game and the turnaround after it, so the board never sells a game the marshals cannot brief in time. A package can hold two or three games for the same group, and a group too big for one game is split into turns with a break between them.

  • Capacity per arena
  • Briefing built into the session
  • Several games in one booking
  • A run sheet for the arena floor

Bowling

Lanes sold by the hour or the game

Lanes are resources like anything else, each with the number of bowlers it holds. Price a booking per person, per hour or as a flat rate, and set how many games it includes. Sell a single lane to a walk in, or split a party bigger than one lane into groups, with shoe hire and food added to the booking. A weekly league is a regular booking: the same group, the same lanes, the same night, made once and repeated through the season.

  • Per person, per hour or flat
  • League nights as regular bookings
  • Food added to the lane

Mini golf

Tee off intervals that keep the course flowing

The course has its own start interval, so only so many players tee off each slot and hole one never backs up on a wet Sunday. A big group can be split into smaller ones that take turns, and the round takes its place in the guest's itinerary when it is part of a party.

  • Interval based tee offs
  • Group splitting
  • Round length in the itinerary

Escape rooms

Rooms, resets and private sessions

Each room has its own capacity, run time and reset window. The grid holds the reset, so the next booking is never sold into a room still being put back together. A room can be booked as a private session, so a team of four never ends up sharing with strangers.

  • Reset time protected
  • Room specific capacity
  • One group per room

Trampoline

Timed jump sessions and socks

Sell jump time in sessions on the interval you set, counted against the park's capacity, and add grip socks as a line on the sale. Age bands are yours to name. A session can be kept to one band, so a toddler hour only sells to the little ones.

  • Sessions on your interval
  • Age split sessions
  • Add ons at the counter

Arcade

Credit sold at the counter and in packages

Sell arcade credit at the counter or as part of a party package, and see arcade takings next to everything else at cash up. Your machines and their card system stay as they are; Venuboost does not issue game cards or read them.

  • Credit as a product
  • Bundled into packages
  • In the same cash up

Axe throwing

Lanes, age limits and waivers that matter

Waivers are not optional here. Every thrower signs on their own phone or at the kiosk, and the counter sees how many waivers are still missing on the booking before anybody picks up an axe. Age bands keep the session to the ages you allow, and each lane block has its own session length.

  • A waiver per thrower
  • Age limits per session
  • Session length per lane

One board

Every space on the same afternoon.

The calendar puts every track, arena, lane and course side by side for the day, each on its own interval. A booking made online, at the counter or over the phone lands in the same column, so nobody sells the two o'clock arena slot twice from two screens.

Party rooms sit on the same board. A room is held for the whole visit, for one window part way through, or only for the gaps between what the group is doing, and its clean up time is kept clear before the next party walks in. Two rooms that open into one can be sold together for a bigger group.

Adding another arena, more lanes or a second course costs nothing extra. Only a karting track counts towards the subscription, and Venuboost pricing sets out what each one costs in your currency.

Online bookings

Guests pick the activity first.

Your booking page opens on the activities you sell, under your own brand. A guest taps laser tag and sees laser games, not race formats, then only the start times that really have room for their group. Minimum and maximum group sizes and the ages each session allows are shown before anybody pays.

Age bands are named by you: Cadet, Junior and Adult for laser tag, Minor and Adult for karting, or anything else. Each experience says which bands may book, what each band pays, and whether one session may hold more than one band. The waiver places each person in a band from their date of birth.

Combos

Karting, laser tag and food in one booking.

Most of your money is in the second activity. Chain karting, laser tag and food into one booking and the engine orders it against real availability, then hands the guest an itinerary with times on it.

Ordered to fit

If the arena is full at two, the combo starts on the track instead and the room slides to match. Lock the part that must stay put, such as cake last, and the rest moves around it.

Priced as a package

One price for the visit, with age group pricing applied per guest inside it.

Split when it should be

Booking rules can keep a group of nine year olds off the same grid as adults, or warn and let the manager decide.

Each part of a combo carries the time it needs after it for a briefing, a changeover or the walk across the building, so a group is never booked to be in two places at once. Running several of these under one roof is what a family entertainment centre does all day, and family entertainment centre software covers the counter, the kitchen and the reporting that sit around them.

Questions

What activity venues ask us first.

Which activities can Venuboost take bookings for?

Karting, laser tag, ten pin bowling, mini golf, escape rooms, trampoline parks, axe throwing, virtual reality and an arcade are in the list you choose from at signup. Anything else you run can be added under your own name for it and booked the same way, on a resource with a capacity, a run time and a start interval.

Can one booking include more than one activity?

Yes. A package can chain up to six activities, such as two races, a laser game and an hour in a party room. Each part is checked against the capacity of the space it uses, and if the usual order is full at that time the parts can be reordered so the group still fits, with any part you lock, such as the cake, kept where you put it.

Do we pay more for each lane, arena or course?

No. A second laser arena, more bowling lanes or another mini golf course are added at no extra charge. The only resource that counts towards the subscription is a karting track, because each extra track brings its own timing hardware to run and support.

How does it stop us overselling an arena or an escape room?

Every space has its own capacity, its own run time, the briefing time before it and the reset time after it. A start time is only offered if the whole session, reset included, fits. You can also lock a space so staff need a manager PIN before they push a booking past its capacity.

Do waivers work for laser tag and axe throwing as well as karting?

Yes. A waiver can cover every activity you run or only the ones you choose, with its own wording, the age a parent or guardian must sign for and how often it has to be signed again. The counter sees how many waivers are still missing on each booking before the group goes in.

Does Venuboost run our arcade card system?

No. Venuboost does not issue game cards or talk to the readers on your machines, so the card system you have stays. What it does is sell arcade credit as an item on the till and inside party packages, so arcade takings sit in the same cash up as everything else.
